A port represents a transfer of material, energy or information into or out of a process step. It provides the anchor point for connecting two process steps to each other. The term is derived from SysML and IDEF0 representations of processes.<br/>Note that a port in DEXPI Process is a conceptual object. It represents a contract regarding the material, energy or information coming into or out of a process step.<br/>
