Released on 30 September 2026, DEXPI 2.0.1 replaces DEXPI 2.0 by fixing a number of findings identified in DEXPI 2.0
DEXPI e.V. announces the publication of the DEXPI 2.0.1 Specification on 30 September 2026. This update fixes a two issues in the plant model and reacts to several findings in the process model (especially regarding the systematics of the taxonomy of Process Steps). The always included reference example P&ID was also updated to reflect the DEXPI 2 set of Nozzle classes.
Main Highlights of DEXPI 2.0.1 at a Glance
- Small additions in the plant model regarding TubeBundles at Heater classes and a safety-related specialization of ProcessInstrumentationFunction.
- Improvements to the DEXPI Process Model, setting up the taxonomy of process steps in an even more systematic way and correcting missing relations
- Reference example updated to make use of the specializing Nozzle classes (AccessNozzle -> e.g. Manhole; InstrumentNozzle -> e.g. for Sensors; ProcessNozzle -> the default piping-related Nozzle)
- All fixes are listed in the Changelog directly included in the Specification.
