In practice, building design (BIM) and process engineering (DEXPI) often exist in separate worlds. This research project shows how the use of open standards enables a seamless integration across disciplines.
A particular highlight is the use of mixed reality, allowing P&ID data to be visualized directly within the spatial context. This enables:
- improved coordination between disciplines
- early detection of design conflicts
- more efficient collaboration
For complex industrial projects, this clearly demonstrates:
DEXPI can play a key role in connecting engineering data with digital building models.
